The theme for 2017 World Environment Day is “Connecting People Back to Nature’. It implores us to get outdoors and to appreciate its beauty and the importance of protecting the earth that we all share.Landcare Australia invites all organisations, big and small, to think about how important it is to get back to nature and how we all depend on it.=inherit There are many ways you can raise money. Here are some ideas for your organisation:

Organise a bush work day near your offices and ask workers to donate $20 to spend the morning or afternoon doing a bush walk in your local area
Host a sausage sizzle and ask employees to donate $5 for their lunch
Give up something for the environment for a week (such as coffee) and all the money saved can support World Environment Day
Dress to impress in aid of endangered animals; wear something fun and funky to grab people’s attention.

How can my funds make a difference? All the funds raised by our schools for World Environment Day will go to support Landcare community projects across Australia.Your funds could help support projects to protect our threatened Aussie species by restoring habitats so they have a more secure future, improving the biodiversity of local habitats, planting trees so that native animals can return to their homes, and halting erosion and cleaning up pollution in our waterways.Register your organisation now for World Environment Day and get your work back to nature.
