UNICEF Idai Appeal - 20 life-saving food sachets
$ 11.00
Right now families in Mozambique, Malawi and Zimbabwe are facing havoc after Cyclone Idai pounded the region with heavy rain and powerful winds.

Idai made landfall in Mozambique’s Sofala region last Thursday before moving across to Zimbabwe. It is feared that at least 1,000 people have already died.

Over 1.5 million people - around half of whom are estimated to be children - have been impacted by the severe flooding. Families are desperately fighting for survival, taking refuge on higher ground and rooftops. While communities do everything in their power to cope with the crisis, the sheer scale of destruction requires outside support.

This miracle peanut paste, Plumpy’Nut®, can bring a child back from severe malnutrition, fast. Enriched with vitamins and minerals, just three sachets a day can be all it takes to save a child’s life. In times of famine, drought, or flood this emergency food is a true lifesaver.
