Support a school in a disadvantaged area to participate in a music and creative arts workshop program for six months. Strong research demonstrates that music and arts-based programs are highly successful in re-engaging children at school; improving learning, social outcomes and strengthening personal development. In Australia up to 3 out of 4 children in Government Primary Schools do not have music teachers at school. Your support could fund an early intervention project for indigenous children, youth and families in remote indigenous communities in the Northern Territory, bring musical relief to schools in a drought-declared area of Western NSW, or help provide a drumming program for troubled 11 to 15 year olds.
