Who we are:
The Big Issue is Australia's longest-standing not-for-profit social enterprise. We exist to provide employment opportunities and support for people experiencing homelessness, marginalisation, and disadvantage. Our programs include The Big Issue magazine, the Women's Subscription Enterprise, The Big Issue Classroom, The Big Idea, and The Community Street Soccer Program.

Our programs not only provide opportunities for people to earn a meaningful income but also a connection to the community and a capacity to help themselves. The people we support come from a range of backgrounds including homelessness, mental illness, long-term unemployment, intellectual and physical disability, and drug and alcohol dependency.
