Solve Disability Solutions, formerly TADVIC, improves the quality of life of people with disabilities and those assisting them, by increasing their independence and providing them with the opportunity to participate more fully in educational, employment and recreational activities.
The specific equipment needs of people with disabilities varies enormously. Solve Disability Solutions assists in situations where a custom-made solution is required.
Solve Disability Solutions volunteers are practical people with engineering, trade, technical or handyman skills who work closely with individuals to design and make or modify equipment to suit specific requirements. Each request is reviewed and monitored by a health professional project coordinator to ensure the solution is both practical and appropriate to the users needs and abilities.
There is no charge for the Solve Disability Solutions service. Clients pay only the cost of materials and the volunteer's travel expenses. Volunteers use their own workshops and give their time and skills freely
