Scripture Union Queensland (SU QLD)

Scripture Union Queensland (SU QLD) is a Christian not-for-profit organisation dedicated to seeing each child and young person connected and supported in community, serving others, and experiencing fullness of life.

This is achieved through the provision of school chaplaincy, camps, community outreaches, at-risk youth support, and youth work training.

As Australia’s largest employing authority for school chaplains, SU QLD currently provides social, emotional and spiritual support for students, families and staff in more than 800 school communities across the state.

SU QLD is particularly interested in supporting and assisting at-risk youth who struggle to fit into the general school environment due to circumstances beyond their control.

The organisation also runs over 80 life-changing camps and community outreach events each year for more than 4,200 children and young people. These events offer children and young people a safe, drug and alcohol-free way to explore faith and have the time of their life.

Scripture Union Queensland is a member of Scripture Union Australia and the worldwide Scripture Union International community, which was established in 1867 and is now represented in over 130 countries represented worldwide.
