Royal Institue for Deaf and Blind Children (RIDBC)

Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children

Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children (RIDBC) is Australia’s largest non-government provider of education, therapy and cochlear implant services for children and adults with vision or hearing loss, their families, and the professionals who support them.

RIDBC is designing a future to do more for those who need us. We aim to reach more people, deliver best practice, and secure our future to ensure all generations of Australians have access to vital vision and hearing services. Overall, RIDBC supports 8,000 children and adults across Australia.

Our goal is to ensure no person with vision or hearing loss gets left behind – to give all children equal access to communication, education, literacy, therapy and health services that will enable them to live a life where nothing holds them back.

As a charity, RIDBC relies heavily on fundraising and community support. To learn more go to or call 1800 043 411
