At Ronald McDonald House Charities Victoria & Tasmania, our highest priority is ensuring the safety of our families, staff and volunteers as the COVID-19 situation unfolds.
We have made some changes to our policies to ensure we are taking all necessary steps to protect our people and our charity.
Increased protection for our families, staff and volunteers
To ensure the continued safety of our families and their seriously ill children, effective immediately, we will be minimising access to our Houses and Programs.
This means all volunteering activities, House tours and visits to our Programs will be postponed until further notice.
Ronald McDonald Learning Program
All Learning Program tutoring is being conducted online to keep students and tutors safe.
Ronald McDonald Family Room
Under the guide of RMHC and our partnering Hospitals, we have temporarily closed our Family Rooms.
Ronald McDonald House
Our Houses are still operating with strict health screening checks, before families check-in and for key operating staff.
Please know your support is vital and appreciated, now more than ever.

The COVID-19 situation is having a very real impact on our Families and Programs.
To ensure we continue to provide the safest environment possible for families of seriously ill children, we are no longer able to host our dinner and meal programs. That’s why we need your help! During this difficult time for our families, you can help brighten their day by sponsoring a home-cooked meal.

Often, parents and carers of seriously ill children simply do not have the time, funds or energy to prepare a meal after an emotional day at hospital.
Keeping families close through such times is at the heart of what we do and by sponsoring dinner for a night our families can find comfort in coming home to a healthy home-cooked meal.
