One Hundred Metres of Unprotected Daintree Protected by YOU!
$ 500.00

Protect 100sqm of Daintree Rainforest!

Over 100 threatened species rely on the Daintree rainforest for survival, including the endangered southern cassowary, the endangered spotted-tailed quoll, the rare Bennett’s tree kangaroo and the endangered blue tassel fern. Although surrounded by the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area, parts of the coastal lowland rainforest remain unprotected and at risk from development.

Rainforest Rescue’s Daintree Buy Back and Protect Forever Project identifies and purchases high conservation value rainforest at risk of development and establishes Nature Refuge status which protects it forever under covenants ratified by the Queensland Parliament in Australia.

Every $5 will buy back and protect one square metre of Daintree lowlands rainforest environment. The cost is based on the average price of the last five properties we have purchased and protected forever.
