Medical care for a sick or injured little penguin at the Phillip Island Wildlife Clinic for one day
$ 100.00
The Wildlife Clinic has been purpose built to care for Phillip Island's sick and injured native wildlife and is Victoria's only specialised seabird centre. Each year the Clinic expertly treats approximately 150 little penguins and 500+ other native animals including species which are endangered, protected and at risk as well as the occasional international visitor such as Fiordland penguins. Starvation and human interventions such as road trauma, pet or feral animal attacks, oil spills and boat trauma are common causes of admittance to the Clinic. The ultimate aim of wildlife rehabilitation is to return healthy animals to the wild so they can resume life without further support.

The Wildlife Clinic provides access to medicine, veterinary care and treatment, protection and a recovery environment for rehabilitation. The Clinic has two outdoor pools controlled to mimic ocean temperatures and salinity, a large-scale washing room for use in the event of marine pollution emergency, separate intensive care and triage rooms, and several outdoor large pens. The Clinic has dedicated rehabilitation areas for all types of wildlife, creating a close to natural environment for recovery.

Your donation of $100 will help to provide medical care, such as surgery, medications, or x-rays, for a sick or injured little penguin at the Wildlife Clinic.
