Treating someone to breakfast always goes down well, and this is no exception. This gift will go towards meals and fund life-saving programs for children in South Africa who are living with HIV. What’s not to like?
Vhutshilo Mountain School runs a pre-school and outreach program for South African children, providing personalised care, support and education to children and caregivers across 19 villages. Good nutrition is vital in maintaining the health of children, some of whom are living with HIV. The school’s mission is to empower children to take control of their own treatment, equipping them with a solid base on which to build their future.
“Cooking for the orphans and vulnerable children, it helps parents and guardians of the children to not worry about food for the children during the day. And children get healthy food, as we are trained to cook healthy meals.” — Julia Rangolo, kitchen staff member,
