Around the globe, and at home with our Indigenous Australians, Oxfam works to find practical, innovative ways for people to lift themselves out of poverty and thrive. We save lives and help rebuild livelihoods when crisis strikes. And we campaign so that the voices of the poor influence the local and global decisions that affect them.
In 2015, we provided 5 million people in 30 countries with simple, smart solutions to humanitarian problems.
Some examples of the programs we run include access to clean water and sanitation, food and income generation, tools and training on crops, greater access to health care and education, and increased power to speak up on important issues.
