National Centre For Childhood Grief Pty Ltd

The NCCG better known as 'A Friend's Place', provides loving professional support and guidance in a safe place where children grieving a death can share their experience as they learn to live with its impact on their lives.

The NCCG was founded in 1994 by Mal and Dianne McKissock, who have both been bestowed an Order of Australia Medal and are internationally recognised as experts for their work in the care of bereaved children. A team of trained children's bereavement support staff and counsellors support our Clinical Director.

Around 1,400 bereavement counselling sessions are carried out at the centre each year. The NCCG also provides education and training for individuals, schools and other organisations handling the grief of children and young people. Therapeutic practices developed by the NCCG are regarded as being at the forefront of practices internationally.

The NCCG is wholly funded by corporate and individual donations. Our current funding program encourages businesses to sponsor a child to attend a period of counselling sessions.

Check out our website if you would like more information about this, www.childhoodgrief.o rg.au, and I encourage you to find out more about how you can make a real difference in a child's life by committing to providing for their ongoing counselling needs.

We need your help to continue to providing our services. We welcome your ongoing support of the NCCG and would be happy to provide you with more information on how you can do this at any time. Please contact our Centre Manager on 1300 654-556 or email: info@childhoodgrief. org.au.
