In the Pacific Region, there are an estimated 150,000 people who need a mobility device - such as a wheelchair, prosthetic limb, walking frame or crutches. Motivation Australia's work in the Region aims to make it possible for more people to access mobility devices.
How do we do it?
We help our partners source and purchase quality, affordable mobility devices designed to suit the challenging physical environments many people live in. We also work with our partners to create sustainable services. This includes training local staff how to assess and prescribe a mobility device.
$100 can contribute to the cost of a wheelchair; purchase a walking frame; or cover transport costs for local staff to visit people with a mobility disability to assess and prescribe a mobility device.
Our administration costs are small, and our projects are effective. Help us to make a difference through your donation.
