A staggering 15 600 women were diagnosed with breast cancer in Australia in the last year alone—that’s 42 women every single day. Many of these women, and their families, will be treated and supported at Mater.
As well as providing the very best care for these women undergoing treatment at Mater’s Cancer Care Centres, the Mater Chicks in Pink program is there to help them in their time of need.
Mater Chicks in Pink exists to provide tangible and timely support services like house cleaning, counselling and mastectomy bras for women undergoing treatment for breast cancer.
These services will help to alleviate the huge emotional and financial burden women and their families feel after a breast cancer diagnosis.
But with your support, Mater Chicks in Pink can help more women with breast cancer.
By donating you can help pay for a house cleaning service for a woman undergoing breast cancer treatment.
While to some this may not seem like much, for a woman recovering from the physical effects of breast cancer treatment and surgery, this help means the world. When she has undergone surgery to remove one, or both of her breasts, she will be unable to even lift her arms above her head.
The most basic of tasks, such as cleaning her home, can seem impossible. But your support will make an immediate impact on her life.
Please donate today to give a woman with breast cancer more time to focus on her family and the moments that matter most.
