$58 can allow a person diagnosed with a blood cancer and their carer, to be transported to and from medical treatment. Often too unwell to drive and requiring a carer beside them to support them to and from hospital, our nationally operated service staffed by fully trained volunteers reduces the ongoing transport burden to a patient and their family.
The Leukaemia Foundation Patient Transport Program provides transport services at no charge to the patient or their family, to and from medical treatment. This valuable service provides people with comfortable, reliable and hygienic transport helping to reduce any anxiety they may be feeling and to eliminate any financial costs associated with getting to and from treatment, week in, week out, month in, month out.
