Kids Under Cover
Kids Under Cover is a not-for-profit organisation that works to prevent homelessness by building studios and providing scholarships for homeless and at-risk young people.
Our vision is for all young people to have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Kids Under Cover builds one and two bedroom demountable studios in the backyard of their family or carer’s home. This way, the studio allows families to stay connected, eases the pressure of overcrowding and provides the young person with a secure and stable environment in which to grow into healthy adulthood.
While living in a studio, the young person can apply for a Kids Under Cover Scholarship which provides help to continue their education.
When the studio is no longer needed, it is simply dismantled and moved to another family in need. Kids Under Cover Studios last approximately 20 years and can be relocated a number of times.
