Music connects us in a unique and universal way. It provides a safe way to access and express our emotions, feelings, and opinions.
FLN’s music program will help young people who are refugees, asylum seekers and who live on the public housing estates of inner Melbourne to develop social and emotional skills; create positive social relationships and cope with their difficult circumstances.
As one study has found making music provides the freedom for young people] “to just be themselves; to be different; to be something they thought they could never be; to be comfortable and relaxed in school and elsewhere in their lives”. We invite you to join us in investing in the talents, hopes and dreams of disadvantaged young people.
Just $35 will help pay for musical tuition and provide a young person a skill and a passion that will stay with them for a lifetime.
