Support Ovarian Cancer Research
$ 200.00
Around 1400 Australian women are diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer each year. With no clear symptoms, it is a difficult caner to identify early and treat.

The Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute is focused on finding an effective and efficient way to treat ovarian cancer. Ovarian Cancer focused research is being conducted to understand how and why the immune system of ovarian cancer patients is not able to eradicate the cancer. The team have made breakthroughs to identifying drugs that assist with avoiding chemo resistance. Currently the research is investigating the differences between responsive and non-responsive ovarian cancer protein cells which could lead to the development of new immune based therapies for treating the cancer.
