Repairing habitats for expansion and movement of native wildlife and plants.Did you know that the home range of a wombat is just under 25ha? Or that Powerful Owls require up to 4,000ha of high-quality habitat per breeding pair? These numbers are large, much larger than we might imagine are needed for some our native wildlife to survive and thrive.  Our Green Links projects address this need by extending, reconnecting and recreating large areas of bushland habitat for a range of animals – and for plants too, that need places for their seed to spread and establish. Some of our Green Links projects include:
  • Reconnecting willdife corridors on the Atherton Tablelands for Tree kangaroos.
  • Revegetation and rehabilitation of the W James Whyte Island Reserve in Victoria
  • Replanting the Warrnambool-Koroit rail trail with a rare woodland plant community to defragment remnant vegetation
