Childhood Cancer Support offers free medium to long term multi-bedroom, self-contained units to house families during their battle against childhood cancer. Our units have been designed and furnished to promote a sense of home for our families during their stay. We also offer accommodation rooms for families who require short-term accommodation only.
Childhood Cancer Support provides an oncology-specific medium to long term accommodation solution for families of children undergoing cancer treatment. Childhood Cancer Support has four residential facilities situated side by side, currently located at Herston - a total of 13 family styled units.
SOUTH BRISBANE ACCOMMODATION
The transition to South Brisbane has allowed Childhood Cancer Support the opportunity to expand and provide an additional four med-long to family-styled units for families to stay in whilst their child receives life saving treatment at Queensland Children's Hospital.
ANNERLEY ROAD, WOOLLOONGABBA ACCOMMODATION
Short-term accommodation is ideal for regionally-based families who are required to return to Brisbane for post treatment appointments and check-ups at the hospital. Located less the 800m away from the hospital, these facilities are available to all paediatric oncology families.
We provide these accommodation facilities for no cost to our families, in the hope of removing some of the financial strain.
Our accommodation facilities are homely, clean and comfortable. Families spend enough time in the clinical setting of the hospital, so we bring some of the warmth back in through the provision of these living arrangements.
We do not charge families for maintenance or bills; instead, we rely on the generous donations from our supporters to keep us up and running. By donating just $50, you'd be surprised at what a difference you can make at reducing the overall ongoing maintenance costs.
Donate today as a contribution to these financial necessities that ensure our families will always have a home away from home.
