Cancer Council Queensland

Provide transport for cancer patients to and from hospital for treatment

Many cancer patients living in rural and regional Queensland often need to travel away from home to access cancer treatment.  Cancer Council Queensland offers a home away from home experience through established accommodation support lodges, where cancer patients and their caregivers can access help and support.

Our accommodation lodges offer a free place to stay for cancer patients and their caregivers when their best hope for treatment may be in another city and provide a nurturing environment where guests can retreat to private rooms or connect with others.  Every guest has access to a variety of resources and information about cancer as well as expert, trained staff who offer practical and emotional support.

Cancer Council Queensland offers courtesy transport services from each of our Brisbane, Cairns, Townsville, and Toowoomba accommodation lodges.

Your donation of $10 will help cover the cost of transport for a cancer patient staying at one of our lodges, to and from hospital for their treatment.
