Help disadvantaged students pledge to pursue a positive pathway with a Beacon Charter Signing
$ 10.00
The pledge that students make to themselves at the Beacon Charter Signing Ceremony is:

“I promise myself that when I leave school, I will pursue a positive pathway in further education, training or employment”.

Many at risk young people don’t have the support or encouragement in their lives to aim high, and set achievable goals. More often than not, they are told what they CAN’T achieve and the Charter Signing is a positive ceremony where students open themselves to having a go, and committing to the many things that they CAN achieve.

Words spoken out loud have incredible power, and the Charter Singing ceremonies are often quite emotional. By these teenagers making a public pledge to themselves and their community they instantly set themselves new goals, encouraged and supported by their parents, teachers and members of the community who are also invited along to witness and then co-sign the charter.

At Beacon we target our programs to disadvantaged young Australians - knowing that early intervention can have a dramatic impact on helping students achieve a positive post-school pathway either into employment or further education.

Your gift will fund a disadvantaged student to attend a Charter Signing event in a Beacon Member School in Australia.
