The Business Blackboard will help students answer that exact question! Beacon guides our schools to invite business volunteers to come into the classroom and explain to students how they use what the students are learning in their current job.
For example a builder would attend a maths class and explain to students that if they don't calculate their measurements properly they could lose a lot of money for their business!
This will assist students in realising why school is important and perhaps why they should take what their learning more seriously.
