Mt Gibson Fauna Reconstruction Project
$ 35.00
The impact of feral animals on the native fauna of south-western Australia – particularly in the wheatbelt area – has been catastrophic. The region has lost up to 18 mammal species: as high a rate of attrition as anywhere on the Australian continent. AWC has already established several large feral predator-free areas into which threatened mammals have been reintroduced (including at Scotia Wildlife Sanctuary). Having learned from our previous success, we are now set to embark on a major project to expand our feral-free estate and dramatically improve the prospects for survival for an entire suite of threatened mammal species at our Mt Gibson Sanctuary, in the heart of Western Australia’s wheatbelt.

Please make a tax deductible donation to save our threatened wildlife. Your support will help AWC to secure the future of one in eight (13%) of Australia’s nationally threatened mammal species.

$35 will fund the removal of feral cats from 2 hectares.

This is your chance to help restore Australia’s natural capital. Donate now and start planning your future visit to Mt Gibson to inspect the ecological return on your investment, including Bilbies, Numbats and Woylies!
