Workplace Giving – Disaster Relief and Recovery
Australian Red Cross teams are supporting communities affected by multiple bushfires in New South Wales and Queensland. Our specialist emergency services volunteers are providing psychological first aid, working at evacuation centres and helping people to get in touch with their loved ones.
More than 80 Red Cross volunteers have been on the ground in 21 evacuation centres in the worst-affected fire zones in New South Wales and Queensland ( 11th November 2109)
Red Cross is encouraging people to:
- Use the Register.Find.Reunite service if you have been affected by the bushfires to either let people know you are okay, or to check if your family and friends are safe. Visit register.redcross.org.au or call 1800 227 228 (NSW) or 1800 442 182 (QLD).
- Take four simple steps to prepare for emergencies wherever you live. Access our Get Prepared app, our Emergency RediPlan and other resources at redcross.org.au/prepare.
Your donation will support our emergency teams in Australia and further afield, including those who are currently responding to fires in New South Wales and Queensland.
