Prostate cancer is the fourth most common cancer worldwide.  In Australia an estimated 17,729 new cases of prostate cancer were diagnosed in 2018.  The major treatment of prostate cancer is surgery followed by chemotherapy.  AUSiMED has identified a world-class research team that is developing an innovative therapy to prevent recurrence of prostate cancer after surgery.
The scientists from Peter McCallum Cancer Research Institute, Melbourne and The Hebrew University of Jerusalem are world experts in pharmaceutical sciences and cancer research. They are developing a new therapy that delivers a personalized protecting drug to the surgical site.
 
All donations to this exciting research will contribute to the developing a new therapy that could to reduce prostate cancer recurrence and save thousands of lives every year.
