Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal

Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal

FRRR is one of only a few organisations dedicated to supporting not-for-profit community groups in rural, regional and remote Australia.

Thanks to funds donated, FRRR granted out more than $10 million in the 2018/19 FY to community groups across rural, regional and remote Australia.

The projects we fund depend on the needs that community groups identify within their community. Those needs can range from education – from early childhood through to adults; to helping communities prepare for and recover from natural disasters; maintaining or enhancing vital community infrastructure like halls and historical museums; supporting activities in local nursing homes; or supporting activities that help to bring people to the community, such as signage for tourist trails.

We have been operating since 2000. In that time, we have helped close to 10,000 community projects come to life … but we can still fund only about one third of the requests that we receive each year.

Can you help us help more people in need? All donations to FRRR over $2 are tax deductible.

Below are some examples of areas where we currently need support.
