Animal Welfare League NSW

Animal Welfare League NSW (AWL) is a registered charity that has been caring for surrendered, neglected and abandoned animals for over 50 years. AWL is authorised to investigate allegations of animal cruelty, operates two animal shelters, a veterinary clinic and has 12 branches of active volunteers.

We treat all of the animals that come through our doors as our own. All animals available for adoption are temperament assessed, vet checked, desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed and flea treated.

AWL NSW do not receive any Government funding to care for pets in our shelters and we rely purely on the kindness of supporters and public donations.

Importantly AWL aims to match all adoptable animals with the lifestyle of potential owners, to ensure a long and happy relationship for all.

Animal Welfare League NSW operates two animal shelters in the Sydney region.

Kemps Creek Shelter is situated between Liverpool and Penrith and offers dogs, puppies, cats and kittens for adoption, and also offers luxury pet boarding. There is veterinary hospital based at Kemps Creek which offers a range of services including desexing, vaccinations, dental procedures, nutritional advice, x-rays, on-site laboratory and DNA testing. The shelter is located at 1605 Elizabeth Drive, Kemps Creek, 2178.

Ingleside Shelter is located in Sydney's northern beaches and offers dogs, puppies, cats and kittens for adoption, as well as offering premier boarding facilities for cats and dogs. The shelter is located at 1 Cicada Glen Road, Ingleside, 2101.
