Motivation Australia deliver life changing projects for people with disabilities in the Pacific.
1.5 million people are estimated to be living with disabilities in Pacific developing countries. Most people needing wheelchairs and prosthetic legs do not have access to them.
Many people in the Pacific are impacted by stroke and amputation as a result of diabetes. Children can not go to school because they lack wheelchairs that fit and support them properly. Families are isolated and live in poverty because the basic services they need are not available.
In places with fewer resources, health services are often far away, don't have enough trained staff and lack the supplies to provide the health care that people need. But it doesn’t have to be like this...
We’re a charity that strengthens services and trains local staff to change people’s lives.
Assistive products and rehabilitation services can be life changing and life saving. Wheelchairs and prosthetic legs help people to be mobile, more independent and get on with their lives.
Our projects enable people to get the products and services they need, through supporting a network of local partner organisations all over the region.
