Contribute to a young person’s creative development with some art supplies for school. Research indicates that art can play a major role in assisting young people to overcome significant trauma and abuse they may have faced. In our experience, encouraging young people to express themselves creatively has aided their development considerably due to its therapeutic effects. Many of the young people we work with lack the skills to verbalise their emotions. However, through art they are able to find a way to communicate their feelings in a way that is non-threatening and within their comfort zone.
