As a partner in the Pyrmont Heritage Youth Project we are providing opportunities for local high school students to gain work experience in maritime operations and related trades. Participants receive ‘hands on’ experience in a supportive learning environment with Sydney Heritage Fleet volunteers. Our heritage shipyard is truly HISTORY IN ACTION. We are preserving and reviving the skills to repair, maintain & operate our heritage vessels. Many of the volunteers who work in the shipyard spent their working lives in the maritime industries that once skirted our harbour. The opportunities that this environment offer our young participants are truly unique. Be a part of HISTORY IN ACTION!
