These containers are important for the preservation of multiple DNA samples and are a basic requirement for all of the research groups at CMRI. For example, our Eye Genetics Group stores DNA from patient blood samples. This group recently detected a gene defect in patients with an unusual form of Aniridia, a vision defect.
