At present there are a reported 2 million homeless and 20 million affected. The numbers are rising.
Despite challenges, UNHCR aid is getting through. In the last two days alone, UNHCR has airlifted a further 96 tonnes of aid into the country. Your funds have helped us distribute tents, bedding, mosquito nets, cooking utensils and soap.
But our supplies are dwindling. We need more airlifts and massive amounts of funding to meet the still unfolding crisis. We’ve reached 300,000 people but we need to reach more.
