At WIRES it is our vision to redress the balance between man and nature and keep Australia wild. In our future, wildlife is valued by all in Australia, and Australians play an active part in looking after it. We think our country and its wildlife deserve a future like this and we believe we are the organisation to achieve it.
Committed to the protection and preservation of native wildlife, WIRES aims to: -
• rescue and care for native wildlife unable to fend for itself, with at all times the best interests of the animals placed first and with the objective of returning them to the wild
• educate the public about the habitat requirements for native wildlife and its maintenance and re-establishment
• foster and promote awareness in the community and in government of the dangers to, and the need to protect, native wildlife
• act and/or advise on the problems of unwanted wildlife and its removal bearing in mind the best interests of the animal and its habitat
