By making a donation in support of our ichmond Birdwing Butterfly Project ard you will be helping to restore vital habitat for this beauiful native rainforest species.
Your gift of $25 will enable Rainforest Rescue to plant and maintain one Birdwing Vine for two years.
Once widely distributed along the east coast of Australia, the Richmond Birdwing Butterfly is today only found in isolated pockets of sub-tropical rainforest. Habitat loss through clearing of its native food plant the Birdwing Vine, and nvasions of poisonous weeds, are threatening its survival.
Rainforest Rescue is working to establish a series of corridors that will allow for the natural migration of the Richmond Birdwing Butterfly between isolated pockets and to restore its natural food source.
