Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy is a non-profit organisation providing internationally recognised music therapy. Registered Music Therapists use the power of music in live and interactive sessions to help people cope with the struggles of living with a wide range of needs. These include children and adults with physical and intellectual disabilities, autism, trauma, illness, dementia, behaviour disorders and learning difficulties.
Music therapy is recognised for its unique ability to enhance communication, support change, and help people live more resourcefully and creatively.
The work encompasses ‘at risk’ children in schools; early intervention programs; aged care programs; children and adults with physical and intellectual disabilities; people with acquired brain injury and more. We work in schools, hospitals, disability centres and privately. Our work is directed from the Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy Centre which is based in Kingswood, NSW.
