Support diabetes kids' camp this Christmas - $100.00
Diabetes Camps are conducted every year to support children with diabetes, teach them to manage their condition and offer them opportunity to meet other children also living with diabetes.
Our camps continue to be oversubscribed. For every child that successfully applies to attend camp, another misses out.
This Christmas we are specifically seeking your support in delivery of additional family camps for children with type 1 diabetes.
Keatha is one parent like many who attended family camp this year with her 7 year old son Ryan.
"Ryan was diagnosed with type1 diabetes 20 months ago and until the camp this year he never got to play and eat with other children also diagnosed. This was an invaluable experience for both of us" - Keatha.
Over the past 3 years the number of applicants for diabetes camps has increased by over 20 per cent and we have been unable to meet the heightened demand due to funding constraints. This is why we need your support today.
