Cystic Fibrosis Queensland
CFQ is a not-for-profit charitable organisation that provides emotional, physical and financial support to over 850 people affected by cystic fibrosis, and their families. These people are predominately from Queensland, but CFQ also supports individuals from Northern NSW and the NT - as well as their families. In order to provide this support CFQ works closely with medical and allied health professionals to ensure the highest standards of support and service are provided.
Support services provided by CFQ include: accomodation for those visiting Brisbane for hospital tune-ups, counselling. free CF-related respiratory equipment and oxygen, respite physiotherapy, funding allied health staff to attend outreach clinics, transfers to hospital from the airport or train, massages for adult clients during hosptial vists & referral, advocacy and lobbying.
